Co-founders of Girltrek, the largest health movement and nonprofit for Black women and girls in the United States. Ten years ago, 2 college friends, T. Morgan Dixon and Vanessa Garrison, started a 10-week walking challenge that is now GirlTrek, a movement of 1 million Black women and counting.
GirlTrek unapologetically serves the needs and desires of Black women by inspiring and mobilizing Black women everywhere to put themselves first by practicing radical self-care through walking and spending transformative time in nature and the outdoors. With each walk, with each challenge, with each 30-minute commitment completed, GirlTrek is creating a movement, a revolution centered on self-love.
